I was always curious as a child and loved to “fiddle” with wires, screws, bolts, and dismantle things. I also loved reading, especially the stories of apprentice Hlapić and his Gita. I didn’t just like them, I adored them. Especially Gita. Sometimes it seems to me that I am still somewhere in that story. Back there behind that barrel at Brlićevac… wandering and gathering inspiration.

I’m sure you now understand everything about Gita.

Well, then I grew up, and my curiosity led me into the world of lampshades and lighting. The story started quite by accident when I wanted to have a lamp in my apartment. A different one, special, colorful. Not beige, not white, not gold. I wanted something unique that wasn’t available anywhere. And so it was; such lamps were truly not available anywhere. I bought an ordinary lamp with a gold shade and immediately got to work. Soon, I had a new lamp that I proudly showed off.

Of course, my curiosity then took off, and I began assembling, dismantling, reading, searching, gluing, and sewing.

My initial adventure has now become my addiction. I can’t imagine a day without at least thinking about new ideas. I have countless ideas, hard to contain, so I write them down and sketch them in my secret notebook to keep them from slipping away. I find inspiration everywhere, especially in nature. I look at color combinations, light interplay, and shadows… all of it gives me strength to keep going.

I enjoy creating new lampshades, each made with a lot of love and attention, never in a hurry, never out of habit or routine. And so it has been for over 10 years. For me, creating lampshades is pure meditation; I truly rest while doing it, and the end result is extremely important and immensely pleasing to me. I adore my clients, I love their comments, reviews, advice, and suggestions. Because of them, my addiction has grown even stronger.

You can also find me at interior design fairs where I meet buyers in person. I love seeing the expressions on the faces of my lamp lovers. Their reactions and comments are indescribable.

I collaborate with interior designers to find solutions for everything, from private homes to smaller or larger hotels, apartments, or beach restaurants.
